Join the Catskill Center’s Catskill Regional Invasive Species Partnership (CRISP) to learn how to identify, survey for, and manage common invasive plants found throughout the Catskills region!

Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Location: Callicoon Riverside Park, Upper Delaware Camp Rd off of Creamery Road, Callicoon, NY 12723 ( Off-street parking near the park entrance)

We’ll take a leisurely walk through the park and get hands-on experience identifying some of the most common and stubborn invasive plants in our region. Along the way, we’ll discuss management options for these plants and learn how to report and track invasive species using the free iMapInvasives app.

The program will take place on generally even, open terrain, though muddy conditions are possible. Participants should come prepared with water, snacks, sturdy hiking shoes or boots, and weather-appropriate clothing, including warm or rain layers as needed. Be sure to charge and bring a smartphone to use the free iMapInvasives app.
