NYISAW Frogbit Pull with OCCA and CR-PRISM

Join the Catskill Center’s Catskill Regional Invasive Species Partnership (CRISP), the Otsego County Conservation Association (OCCA), and the Capital Region PRISM for our second annual Frogbit pull to celebrate NY Invasive Species Awareness Week!

Date: Saturday, June 13th

Time: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Location: Otsego County Conservation Association Office, 7207 NY-80, Cooperstown, NY 13326

European frogbit has been found in several waterbodies in the Upper Susquehanna watershed, just north of Otsego Lake, and has been spreading rapidly in recent years. We need your help to keep public launches clear and open for recreation while working to reduce the spread of this invasive species.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own watercraft; however, a limited number of kayaks and waders will be available for those who need them. Please bring plenty of water and snacks, sunscreen, and be prepared to get muddy. Life jackets are required and will be provided if needed. The event will be rescheduled if thunderstorms are predicted.

Advance registration is required.

If you have any questions, please contact the Catskill Center CRISP Aquatic Invasive Species Manager, Sarah Coney, at sconey@catskillcenter.org
